Amos Obonyo

Amos Obonyo is an early-career researcher with over 5 years of experience in environmental management and climate change adaptation and mitigation. He is currently working as a climate change adaptation research associate at the Africa Research and Impact Network (ARIN), where he leads biodiversity integration in climate adaptation and mitigation action and supports locally led adaptation metrics projects. He possesses expertise in climate adaptation and resilience, wetlands and aquatic systems management, ecosystems and biodiversity conservation, participatory research and community engagement, agroforestry and sustainable land management, ecosystem restoration, and nature-based solutions. Amos holds an international joint MSc in Limnology and Wetlands Management, an MSc in Environmental Science, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management and Conservation. He is also a registered member of the Environmental Institute of Kenya. Throughout his career, Amos has contributed to peer-reviewed research, technical reports, and knowledge products that support evidence-based climate action and sustainable development.
